Balistada Hills ft. Padre Pio Healing Mountain

A week of hustle and bustle, but worry not 'coz the beauty of Doña Remedios Trinidad will here to make you forget how stressful the corporate world is.

As you all know that I'm really intro travel and more on nature tripping, recently we visit Balistada Hills and Padre Pio Healing Mountain.

Balistada Hills •

"Balistada Hills is located in Brgy. Kalawakan, DRT, Bulacan. It is said to be the highest point in the area where you can see the beauty of Sierra Madre Mountain Ranges along with other scenic spots," according to Balistada Hills on Facebook.

It was Sunday when we planned to visit Balistada Hills and I was surprised na ang daming tao kasi akala ko konti lang kami or like kami lang talaga. And even pauwi, there are still people who come just to visit. Fortunately, everyone is excited to see the hills for real.

Here are the breakdowns of fee:

Environmental fee: 20php per head
Tour Guide: 300php per 5 head
Parking: motor- 40php
                4 wheels- 40php

(Note: Pag pababa na ng hills they will also collect 10php per head😅)

So ayun na nga, since dalawa lang kami ng boyfriend ko pumunta at nakita namin na 300 per tour guide ang bayad naghanap kami ng ka-share at luckily may nahanap kami so 150 na lang binayaran namin. Tipid hacks!

Once we settled the payment and had our assigned tour guide, we started hiking for 30 minutes. Guys, always make sure na may baon kayong jacket at tumbler with water kapag ganitong nature tripping kasi sobrang init at wala ka namang mabibilhang tubig sa kalagitnaan ng hiking. We were also cautious on walking as the tiny stones were really slippery.

Halfway through palang ay may mga nakakasalubong na kaming pababa at along the way may mga spots doon na pwede na agad mag picture kasi may mga nests and pwedeng upuan para magpahinga. You can also bring foods para makapag picnic.

When we reached the hill top, the feeling were rewarding. It was scorching hot, we were all sweaty and thirsty that time but looking at the view is just. . wow.

Medyo naloka lang ako kasi gusto din naman namin magpa picture sa iba't ibang pwedeng pag picturan but I think it will take us forever because the line were crazy! Tour guide ang pumipila para kapag turn na nila, yung mga tourist na ang sasalang sa pagkuha ng picture. But hell!😅 Ayaw nila paawat sa picture, lahat ng anggulo may kuha sila. Yes, I was this frustrated because given that it was hot that time, we were standing and waiting for our line. But hello, I guess hindi naman lahat ng picture na kinuha mo ay ipo-post mo diba? Why don't just get a few good shots then give way to others who have been in the line for almost an hour? Hindi lang din naman kasi yung picture ang dinayo mo, right? The reason why you came to a certain place is to see the view and picture is just a souvenir and a remembrance.

Well, that sucks. But yeah, at the end we were able to get a few cute pictures and have it posted on our social media accounts. Yay!
Balistada Hills is open from Monday to Sunday, 5am-5pm. They also open for overnight night camp from 5pm-5am with a Tour Guide fee of 1,000php.

Around 11am we finished and went back to parking. Since it was just early to go home, we decided to visit one more which is Padre Pio Healing Mountain.

Padre Pio Healing Mountain

Padre Pio Healing Mountain is located at Brgy. Paradise 3, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. Mayroon itong 100 steps para makatungtong sa taas at makita ng malapitan ang 50ft tall statue ni Padre Pio.
We arrived there almost 2pm and as usual it was a bit crowded by the devotees by Padre Pio. There are food stalls and souvenir stalls as well to buy from. May mga bata din na nagbebenta ng kandila for only 20pesos para iturok sa taas.

We bought a quick snack and headed up. Sobrang init at the same time ang hirap umakyat papuntang 100 steps. Luckily we were able to come early dahil muntik na kami maabutan ng cut off for picture taking around 2:30 dahil may misa ng 3pm.

The only thing we payed for was the parking fee which is 10php and then you're good to go to see the breathtaking view up hill.
