Bataan Day Tour
Bataan Day Tour: Mt. Samat National Shrine & Looc Beach Resort
Before going to Beach, we went first at Mt. Samat National Shrine. Konting facts lang guys, since it was our first time going to Mt. Samat I did some research. Mt. Samat National Shrine or Dambana ng Kagitingan was built in 1970 in honor to those Filipino soldiers who bravely fought against Americans during WWII. And you will see, it was literally standing in a mountain at 'yung way paakyat ay pa-zigzag at bangkingan talaga. Iyon nga lang, ang aga namin nakarating around 6:30 AM so we had to wait a few more hour because the gate opens at 8 AM. But since there are a lot of guests waiting outside, they opened at 7:30 AM. The ticket per head is 20 pesos and the vehicle is 40 pesos.
We headed to the Cross and waited for it to open dahil 8 AM ang operation time ng elevator para maka akyat. Good thing was, we were early birds so we won't have to wait for the long line. The service elevator can accommodate 8 pax only but the security said the roof deck can accommodate up to 200 pax so pwede pa mag stay doon sa taas.
Nung nasa taas na kami syempre picture dito, picture doon at trust me 'di mo kakayaning tumngin nang matagal sa baba dahil nakakalula. Ang lamig sa taas at super captivating and relaxing ng view so if y'all looking for where to go in Bataan, you must definitely include this one.
Aside from its Cross, mayroon ding museum. Sayang nga lang dahil hindi namin napuntahan but nevertheless, it was quiet an experience.
After Mt. Samat syempre it's beach time! We headed next to Looc Beach or also called La Salle Beach. It's just approximately 30-45mins away from Mt. Samat. So ayun na nga, nakarating kami sa Looc Beach ng around 10AM at ang dami na agad tao. Buti na lang ay may contact kami na si Kuya Albert at nakapag pa reserved kami ng 2 cottages (1 cottage can accomodate 15 pax).
When we were settled, I was like wooow. The white sand always mesmerized me. No entrance fee dito but you have to pay for the parking and the cottage. The water is not that clear compared to Stella Maris' but if you go further mas malinaw na but hindi na pwede doon dahil may line lang hanggang saan ang pwede. And what I like here also is mayroong lifeguards at mga taga bantay kaya medyo secured yung mga kids na mag swimming. At 'yung tubig hindi ganoon ka alon, kumbaga kalmado lang which is also good for kids(we brought our nieces and nephews). They also have water activities like boat riding na dadalhin ka sa cave kung saan pwede mag cliff diving at ibang place na mag sa-sight seeing. Yung boat riding ay nakuha lang namin sa 15 pax for 2k hehe.
I wasn't surprised doon sa cliff diving spot because it was the same place where we went when we were at Stella Maris and I discovered na pareho lang pala yung pinupuntahan pag nag boat riding kayo.
Just a note that you don't have to go to other expensive places to experience such beauty dahil mas maa-appreciate mo ang ganda ng nature kapag loved ones mo ang kasama. :)
